This month’s IDIDTHAT.co Craft Awards were judged by the illustrious Marcus Moshapalo, Executive Creative Director at VMLY&R and Tebogo Malope, Director at The Star Film Company. We’re not sure if you’re all using AI technology in ways that we haven’t thought of, because damn there was a lot of good work this month! A huge congratulations for rising to the top Kim Geldenhuys from 0307, Greg Rom from Gentlemen Films, Audio Militia & Polycat Animation.

This was a particularly tough month to judge with a lot of stand-out work, but rising to the top is Paul Ward from Giant Films and Tristan Holmes from The Star Film Company.

IDIDTHAT Presents ‘SHE DID THAT’

SHE DID THAT is a female filmmaker's showcase that shines a spotlight on the women in the South African production industry. Although we will only be featuring women and non-binary people, the goal is that it will encourage the inclusion of more underrepresented filmmakers across all production work created by South Africans. This month features Director Samantha Nell from Gentlemen Films, Director Jabu Nadia Newman from Romance Films and Editor Itu Nomtshongwana from The Syndicate.

South Africa did us proud this year bringing home Metal and Merits for days! Congrats you beauties. Here we showcase all the work by our IDIDTHAT members. Wild clapping and screaming for Promise, who nabbed a whole bloody CNA stationary section with their Gold, Bronze and Silver Pencils. We’ll keep the clapping going strong for TBWA Hunt Lascaris Johannesburg and their TWO Silvers, Joe Public United and 7 Films who both picked up Silver and Post Modern and Massif for their Bronze. You did us damn proud ❤
