SHE DID THAT is a female filmmakers showcase that shines a spotlight on the women in the South African production industry. Although we will only be featuring women and non-binary people, the goal is that it will encourage the inclusion of more underrepresented filmmakers across all production work created by South Africans. This month features Director Nadezna Radcore from CAKE, Director Kyla Philander from Bioscope Films and Director Sam Sterling-Court from The Star Film Company.
This month's IDIDTHAT.co Craft Awards were judged by top industry veterans Tseliso Rangaka, CCO at FCB Joburg and Hellocomputer AND director at 0307, Kim Geldenhuys. Bumper month with 3 commercials being awarded the top spot. Congratulations to our Best-in-Crafters; Lebogang Rasethaba and Imraan Christian from Arcade, Greg Gray from Romance & Jason Fialkov from Bioscope Films.
Get used to seeing the names Hloni Coleman and Johann ‘Vossie’ Vorster. These two filmmakers are now both available as commercials directors and come with the production support of the established team at Cake.
