Three examples of South African craft rise to the top in this month's IDIDTHAT.co Craft Awards. Congratulations to Paul Ward from Giant Films, Alex Smillie from Pressure Cooker Studios and Craig Moore from Robot, whose work impressed this month's judges. IDIDTHAT Presents ‘SHE DID THAT’ June 2022

SHE DID THAT is a female filmmakers showcase that shines a spotlight on the women in the South African production industry. Although we will only be featuring women and non-binary people, the goal is that it will encourage the inclusion of more underrepresented filmmakers across all production work created by South Africans. This month features Thina Zibi from Hello Circus, Anna Telford from Butterfly Films, and Thea Small from Darling Films.

Darling Films spots new talent, welcome Thea Small

With a solid reputation for spotting young directing talent, Darling Film's Executive Producers (and Loeries Hall of Famers!) Lorraine Smit and Melina McDonald announced that they have found the newest Darling Director to join the roster. Judging from the work that Thea Small has shot, we can see why she now goes by the name Darling.
