South Africa makes its mark at One Show 2025 with 18 finalists. Here’s the work.
The One Show has revealed its 2025 finalists, and South Africa again shows up with 18 for the second year in a row. Finalists include local agencies and production companies: Joe Public, TBWA\Hunt Lascaris, Bananas, Promise, Darling Films, Carbon Films, and Enpower Trading. These finalists await the final Pencil decisions, which will be announced during Creative Week in New York on May 15. All finalists will win Gold, Silver, Bronze Pencils or Merits. Go team SA!

There is fresh blood at ROMANCE. Nthato Mokgata has stepped into commercial filmmaking, joining ROMANCE’s diverse lineup of directing talent. But, calling Nthato a director barely scratches the surface. From pioneering Pan African electronic music as Spoek Mathambo, to winning an Annie Award with his Disney short ‘Surf Sangoma’, and releasing his debut novel ‘Ghost in the Drum’, his work has always defied borders. Now he’s applying that distinctive voice to the world of advertising, opening new possibilities for South African creatives.

Anna, Karl and Elton weren’t quite right for this gig, but we’re super proud to have Chairman & Founder of Grid Worldwide, Nathan Reddy, judging South Africa's best in Production Craft this month. The future is so bright son 😎 Thanks Nate and congrats to all of iDidTht's Craft Award winners.
