Loves Films is doing it a little differently. It’s a production company that provides a “come-and-go-as-you-please” home for freelance directors and a more permanent residency option for those who want to stay longer. Love Films is another way to bring ideas to life. ‘Curating creative and production teams to collaborate with on commercials, music videos or films means that we can create bespoke solutions to every board, budget and schedule that comes our way.’ Says Dani. It’s about putting the right heads together to show each job the Love it deserves.

Utilising Dani’s extensive experience in agency, creative and directing roles, Love Films brings a simple yet innovative approach to production. With a focus on collaboration, the director-owned production company welcomes the opportunity to help directors find production teams and visually compelling solutions to the boards they are asked to shoot.

Put in an even more poetic way (and as only Dani can) she says:

Dani has carved out an illustrious career, beginning as an award-winning agency creative before venturing into the world of commercials directing. On having recently decided to close Made Films and launching her own venture she says: ‘Our journey at Made Films was truly rewarding and in the end, without sounding too much like Gwyneth Paltrow, I think it was a conscious uncoupling. We all wanted to go different ways and for me, it was commercials directing, it’s what I love. I’m really excited for what lies ahead for all of us.”

As well as being the owner of Love Films, Dani will work as a director at the production company continuing her run as one of South Africa’s most established filmmakers.
