BEAN MORGAN |  DIRECTOR

Ian Morgan, or Bean as he’s known by, is a South African-based writer and director. Ian is notorious for his off-beat and his tongue-in-cheek approach; this was recognized early on in his career, having won the South African Young Filmmakers Award, as well as the Best Critics Film Award during his studies at AFDA Cape Town. Ian has gone on to direct a plethora of TVC’s and was also a winner at Sundance London in 2018 for his short film, Good Mourning.

JUSTINE PATTERSON |  DIRECTOR

This talented film lover is destined to conquer in every aspect of filmmaking. Starting out as an editor at TinToy, she managed to utilise her storytelling knowledge to enhance her directing skills. Her introduction to directing was through the short film “Mirage”, which delves into the depths of mental health. Her journey also included co-writing and co-directing a mini documentary series, “I Am Not An Object”, which explores gender-based violence and the challenges faced within the South African context. Justine has also developed a niche in documentary storytelling and branded content.

NIC EVE  |  DIRECTOR

Nic Eve has a unique eye to find the art in life through a lens. His global upbringing lends to his understanding of brands and the way they talk to their audiences. His passion for documenting life is seen through his creative language and ability to capture the essence of the situation. People, places and emotion feeds Nic’s creativity to create memorable and beautiful branded content.

TinToy Films has been in the commercials production game for over a decade, and as Executive Producer Warren Ferreira jokingly puts it, ‘We started when we were young and dumb.’ Now that both Warren and TinToy director Ian Morgan, have become first-time dads, they thought it was about time that their company mature along with them. What began as a one-stop production shop has morphed into an established director based production house with an impressive reel and fresh new branding.
