KFC signed up as a headline sponsor of Comic Con Africa. The catch? The venue owners wouldn’t let them sell any food there. So how do we get the audience to engage with the brand?
The Solution
We created an exciting new KFC Bonus level for Boet Fighter, South Africa’s most anticipated video games. We also turned KFC ’s very own Colonel – into a playable character by installing custom consoles and opening them up to Comic Con attendees. Every step of our journey encouraged people to download the new KFC app. After just 4 days more than 75% of Comic Con’s audience engaged and KFC App downloads grew more than 57%.
