ABOUT THE WORK
The iconic Wanta Fanta jingle is back—this time with a proudly South African twist! In collaboration with Fanta and Hogarth, we reimagined this classic, infusing it with the infectious energy of Amapiano to create a fresh, modern anthem that’s impossible to forget. At the heart of this reinvention is Chley (Siphesihle Nkosi), an Amapiano superstar in the South African and International music scene, whose distinct sound and vibrant performance bring an authentic and contemporary edge to the track.
The composition, written by Werner von Waltsleben and supervised and collaborated with Keith Kavayi, seamlessly captures the unmistakable spirit of South African music. And the impact? in the first month; Over 9 million views on YouTube and counting! The track has taken on a life of its own, with multiple TikTok stars creating their own dance challenges and everyone from your kids to your granny humming the iconic “Wanta Fanta” throughout the day.
The goal was simple—create an earworm that sticks—and we’ve done exactly that. With an fun narrative, a powerful partnership with Hogarth, and a song that has truly connected with audiences. Pressure Cooker Studios is proud to have delivered a composition that brings joy, energy, and South African flavour to the world. (with some more versions to come – stay tuned!!) NOTE FOR THE JUDGES
This project was a huge undertaking, requiring months of planning and execution to get every detail just right. With a brand as big as Fanta, there were many voices in the room, and the challenge was to create something that truly resonated while keeping everyone aligned and excited about the final result.
The pressure was on, but we embraced it—working with an incredible team of artists and collaborators to craft a track that felt both authentic and innovative. Every beat, every melody, and every production choice was carefully considered to strike the perfect balance between commercial appeal and creative integrity. In the end, the response was pure excitement—from the brand, the artists, and the audience. Seeing the energy this track has created makes all the hard work worth it, and we’re beyond proud of what we’ve achieved.
