South Africa recognizes 11 Official Languages but after 25 years of democracy many South Africans still can’t even pronounce each other’s names correctly. In 2018, the brand known for putting people’s names on their cans, Coca-Cola – did something more. We introduced South Africa to South Africa, by putting the phonetics of each name from all the different languages and cultures on our packs – teaching South Africans to greet each other, by name, correctly.
Through a unique approach to radio, OOH, online, and tailored content we made sure that wherever there was a Coke there was an opportunity to learn.
