Cake celebrates three years of magic with a deck of personalised tarot cards

Proving that their creativity isn’t restricted to the ad world, the team at Cake decided to celebrate three years of commercial-making magic with a set of personalised tarot cards. YES PLEASE! Each card represents work Cake has pulled off in it’s third year and tells a little story about the concept while linking to the video, genius, you don’t even have to be psychic to enjoy them.

Cake is a hive of happiness led by Exec Producer Cat Lindsay and Director Nadezna Radcore who is the designer and creator behind these cards and most of the work. Cake also represents the lovely Johann ‘Vossie’ VorsterHloni Coleman and Rob Malpage.

Delving in to the esoteric quality of the number THREE, we learn, like all of us at Cake, it has a tendency to thrive in a cheerful and engaging atmosphere. Its energy is youthful and positive and it has an incredible zest for life. As we shift from one production to another, so 3 dances from one enjoyable experience to the next, eager to interact with others along the way. The prized skill of the number 3 is communication and it uses this talent to build a wide and interesting circle of friends and kindred spirits. We have been so lucky to collaborate with a huge selection of superstars over the last year; on screen personalities and sports-people and  the ‘behind-the-desk’ sort too.

Tell Me Stories

We are so excited and happy to be THREE, all of her qualities really resonate with us, our mantra being LOVE, BEAUTY and FREEDOM. We can’t believe how quickly it’s come around and how much fun we’ve had getting here. The past year has been a wild ride, we started off with some really beautiful bi-centenary celebratory work for Coca-Cola and Schweppes and continued our love-affair with the Springboks leading up to the World Cup with ALDO. We did some very important work with L’Oreal for Yves St. Laurent’s campaign “Abuse is Not Love” and we had an absolute blast with a variety of sports personalities in our Hollywoodbets commercials featuring Odwa & Akona, Teko Modise, Carol Tshabalala and the lovely Themba Behrens among many others that left us star-struck. We had some fun with magical Vanish for the European market and finished up the year with a playful Playgirl cosmetics campaign.
