In 2016, a remix of gospel singer Shirley Caesar’s song “You Name It” became an ode to great food the world over. It went viral, spawning a multitude of home-made versions paying tribute to home cooking across the globe.
And we decided to get RB brand Gaviscon in on the act. Gaviscon Antacid is the ultimate remedy for over-indulgence. So we made our own in-house “You Name It” videos, with a distinct South African flavour, added them to the worldwide mix, and tagged them with Gaviscon branding and the brand message “OVERINDULGENCE – UNDER CONTROL”.
In effect, we turned Shirley Caesar’s ode to food into a cheeky Gaviscon message – and it didn’t cost us a cent.
