KFC South Africa wanted to launch their most significant innovation in more than 50 years on our country – a new Hot and Crispy flavour that was their first alternative to their world famous Original Recipe Chicken. The reactions people have to hot food – perspiration, tugging at collars and flushed faces – can easily be misconstrued as signs of guilt. So we created Detective Duma, a private eye hell bent on figuring out where the heat was coming from. The ad follows his search for the truth, where ever it may lead him. Detective Duma’s journey lead to a whopping 92% View Through Rate on Facebook for the teaser video, exceeding the target by 146%. The 2nd Highest video views that KFC has ever achieved on Twitter. As well as exceeding KFC ‘s click to conversion rate by 399% on Facebook – clicking from our social comms to purchase.
