On 13 May 2015, politician Mmusi Maimane launched a twitter campaign. He would answer all tweets which ended with: #Askmmusi.
Some citizens took it seriously but silly chirps from thousands of other citizens soon followed. And just when he started trending, Mmusi stopped replying.
But to this day, nobody truly knows why Mmusi ended his campaign. Perhaps he ran out of data? We used this opportunity to leverage a Cell C data deal, SMARTDATA, in a radio spot that asked Mmusi even more questions.
