SA is a sports-mad nation. And we know sport has the ability to unite all South Africans. When we’re united in celebrating sports, we’re truly one supporters’ team. We used 6 historically unifying sporting moments to ‘weave’ a single new fabric, the ‘Fabric of the Nation’. We got our hands on the original 6 jerseys, the very jerseys that were worn on the field, by the players. Next, we created strips of fabric, by digitally capturing detailed sections of these jerseys. We then weaved and ‘plaited’ these strips into one new ‘fabric’. We used this one fabric to create One new jersey that unifies all 3 sports’ supporters through this sport-filled year – if you did not already know, 2019 is Afcon cup and double World Cup year.
